Visitors need a passport, a valid UAE visa or entry stamp, and a driving licence from their home country. Depending on the country that issued the licence, an International Driving Permit may also be required. A credit card in the main driver's name is needed for the security hold.

Residents need a valid UAE driving licence and an Emirates ID. Once you hold UAE residency, a licence from your home country is no longer accepted for driving in the UAE, so the UAE licence is the one we need on file.

It depends on where your licence was issued. The UAE accepts licences directly from GCC countries and from many others, including the United Kingdom, most of the European Union, the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan. If your country is not on the accepted list, bring an International Driving Permit together with your national licence.

Salik road tolls and any traffic fines issued during the rental are the driver's responsibility. They are registered against the vehicle and passed on after the rental ends, so we always share the record with you rather than settling it silently.
